Excessive stress can lead to unpleasant emotional and physical symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, stomach problems, insomnia, racing heart, sweating, rapid breathing, irritability, shortness of breath, panic, palpitations, nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, headaches, low concentration, loss of sex drive and using food, smoking, drugs and alcohol as a support mechanism. Changing the diet to exclude stimulants such as caffeine beverages like tea and coffee, sugar, salt, saturated fats and to cut down on alcohol consumption and smoking would be beneficial.
